It has been so long
It has been so long since you felt the warmth in your own heart
That you have forgotten your sensitivity
Your humanity
It has been so long
That now you believe that you are a bitch
You behave like it
You don’t allow anyone to get too close to you
Even if you are pretending to be politely nice
It’s just a superficial mask
You have a very thick and tall wall built around you
So thick that you cant even feel your own heart anymore
You haven’t allowed yourself to cry or feel any sympathy for any other living thing for so long
Since your innocence and heart were broken by those you loved and trusted the most
When you were only a little girl
Little by little you started to freeze your tears
Little by little your feelings began to stay trapped in your throat
Without anywhere to go
Staying trapped inside becoming ice
Little by little in time the ice began to cover your heart
And the warmth was becoming history
Was becoming a faraway memory
In time as you body started to transform into a grown woman
You were already believing in the emotionless
Detached, cold, distant and unempathetic person you were becoming
Believing that that was you, identifying with that persona
The persona that seemed to keep you safe
The one that has protected you from ever getting hurt again

NOTE:
This poem speaks about those deep unhealed parts that might have been forgotten for way too long, which cause hard and frozen areas within the system when they are kept ignored and in the shadow .
Healing begins when we start to bring light into these forgotten parts and shadows, by first of all acknowledging them ️ ️
The rest is a process that I cannot fit in this one post.
